Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in “Euphoria,” isn’t fazed by on-screen nudity, even when her co-star in “Anyone But You” found it so awkward he couldn’t face the camera crew.

Sweeney is unapologetic about her willingness to film racy scenes.She has grown confident in her skin and is comfortable showing her body on-screen.

In 2022, she expressed, “People forget that I’m playing a character. They think, ‘Oh, she gets naked on-screen, she’s a sex symbol.’ And I can’t get past that.””I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we’re assuming about actors in the industry.”

Adding to this, Sydney said, “I find empowerment through embracing the body that I have.””That’s sexy and strong, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.”

She has even stood up for Euphoria’s director Sam Levinson amid criticism for explicit scenes.

Speaking to Variety, she said, “You have me, you have Z, you have all of these very strong-minded, independent women.””If we didn’t feel comfortable with something, or we saw something we didn’t like, we’d all speak up.”

“It’s hard to see someone completely trashed by the public and the media when no one’s actually there.””We are there, and clearly we’re still working on the show, and we’re still supportive.”

“It’s not, ‘Oh, here’s a pair of t*ts.’ It’s just real.”

She humorously shared an anecdote about her dad watching the show without warning:”How do you bring up a conversation? And also, when I talk to my dad, it’s usually not about work.”

“He decided he was going to watch it without telling me, with his parents.”

Her co-star Glen Powell, who appeared with her in a steamy shower scene in their romantic comedy, admitted to E! News that it was awkward for him.”When we were doing that, there were other people weighing in on what we should do in that scene.”

“I was like, ‘I don’t like when crew members are weighing in on how I should do a sexy shower scene.’”

He confessed feeling odd afterwards, saying, “You’re like, ‘That is weird, man. Can’t look at you the same way’.”Sydney acknowledged the awkwardness but felt it was more about being watched by the crew than the intimacy with a co-star.

“There’s always an awkward moment, but I don’t know if it’s because you’re so close to someone other than the 40 crew members that are watching you film this – that’s the awkward part.””If anything, I feel more safe with someone who I’m friends with than some people that you don’t really know.”
