Moreover, the real culprits—Ian Ward and Jordan Howard have come together to wreak havoc on Sharon and the entire Newman family. TBH, nobody saw it coming! The Y&R head writer reveals that he kept the killer’s identity a secret for maximum shock factor.
But how did they land on Ian and Jordan? Griffith drew inspiration from the legendary Alfred Hitchcock himself! His philosophy of “You do my crime, and I’ll do yours” brought the classic villain team-up to life. “It seemed perfect and that this murder could be the catalyst for the whole thing,” shared Josh. According to him, Ian and Jordan are “gonna be just absolutely delicious together!”
Undoubtedly, the duo’s revenge arc is about to flip Genoa City on its head, and we’re already here for it! But let’s not forget while Sharon’s hands may be blood-free for now, her guilt trip is far from over. The lady takes responsibility for causing Phyllis’s car crash and confesses to Nick. However, Griffith assures us that Sharon’s confession isn’t as cut and dry as it seems.
